Tween Advertising Campaigns
The high-end men’s clothing brand Tween based in Istanbul is know for its contemporary designs and sharp tailoring. For AW10 Tack Studio was asked to shoot the global Tween ad campaign. The inspiration came from the history of the Ace Cafe in North London, the famous biker hangout. The aim was to keep the feel of the shots natural and thus keeping the cafe’s retro ambience in both visuals and the techniques that was used. The artwork was used for the brands advertising campaign globally.
Based on the success of the first campaign, we were asked to direct and shoot the following SS11 campaign. As the collection had a boxing reference to it, inspiration was drawn from Stanley Kubricks’s documentary ‘Day of the Fight’ and we cast brothers Louis and Claude Simonon to create the boxer and manager/brother relationship as denoted in the film. To give a further authentic feel, the campaign was shot it in the brothers local boxing studio. The artwork was used for Tweens advertising campaign globally as well as for the production of a promotional booklet.
